For 16 years, the Hubble Space Telescope surveyed a pinpoint of outer space previously believed to be relatively empty. Who hath measured the waters in the hollow of his hand,
and weighed the heavens with his palm?
Who hath poised with three fingers the bulk of the earth,
and weighed the mountains in scales,
and the hills in a balance?
Isaiah 40:12 (DRA, NIV, NKJV in parallel)
When I consider your heavens,
the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which you have set in place,
what is mankind that you are mindful of them,
human beings that you care for them?
Psalm 8:3 (NIV, NKJV NASB in parallel)
Yes, my hand laid the foundations of the earth;
my right hand spread out the heavens.
When I summon them,
they stand forth at once.
Isaiah 48:13 (NABRE, NIV, NIRV in parallel)
But now, O LORD, You are our Father,
We are the clay, and You our potter;
And all of us are the work of Your hand.
Isaiah 64:8 (NASB, NIV, NRSV in parallel)
The heavens declare the glory of God;
the sky displays his handiwork.
Day after day it speaks out;
night after night it reveals his greatness.
There is no actual speech or word,
nor is its voice literally heard.
Yet its voice echoes throughout the earth;
its words carry to the distant horizon.
In the sky he has pitched a tent for the sun.
Like a bridegroom it emerges from its chamber;
like a strong man it enjoys running its course.
It emerges from the distant horizon,
and goes from one end of the sky to the other;
nothing can escape its heat.
Psalm 19:1-6 (NET, NASB, NIV in parallel)
